Hamlet

Directed by Susanna Wilson

July 12 – August 16, 2008

“There’s a divinity that shapes our ends.”

In Denmark, the old Norse gods are being relegated to the realm of mythology as Christianity becomes a way of life. When Hamlet’s father, the King, dies, and his mother remarries the King’s brother, thoughts of revenge, lust, ambition, and murder intertwine with questions of death itself. New concepts of Divine Providence and life after death are something only Prince Hamlet dares to explore. Shakespeare’s masterful play presents an engaging story examining humanity’s innermost thoughts and beliefs.

This was a great show! The van had an accident on the way, so there were no sets or historical costumes, but the show went on anyway, even in the pouring rain. This is an evening that I will always remember! Thank you very much. This is the true spirit of Theater, and Bill would have been proud of you all. Swords made from branches, and the poison pop bottle!
